NAIFA Senior Vice President for Government Relations, Diane Boyle will be joining us during the 2021 APC Impact Week. Just added to the agenda, Boyle will provide a legislative and regulatory update on Tuesday, October 19th.

She will discuss the proposed Build Back Better Act, a reconciliation package that includes tax increases and programs that would directly impact Main Street business, individuals, and families.

Provisions in the bill that are of special interest to advisors include:

  • Tax increases for businesses and some individuals.
  • Changes to the tax rules for grantor trusts, including irrevocable life insurance trusts;
  • And increased requirements for financial institutions to track and submit clients’ account information to the IRS.
